Job summary

The Obama Foundation seeks a strategic Director of Development, Midwest to grow its fundraising program across the Midwest. You will cultivate, solicit, and steward six- to seven-figure gifts from individual philanthropists, reporting to the Senior Director of Development, Midwest, and collaborating with executives to close high-level prospects.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Proven moves management and major gift closure track record.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-term Midwest fundraising plans.
• Manage a portfolio of 100+ high-value prospects and tailor cultivation plans.
• Maintain donor relations and collaborate with leadership to steward major gifts.
• Coordinate with Development Committee and board members to support fundraising.
• Represent the Foundation at external events and donor engagements.
• Track metrics in Salesforce to inform fundraising decisions.
