Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules, coordinate resources across Maintenance, Operations, Production, and Engineering, and track field progress.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work independently while solving problems and building consensus among teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or college education preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; understanding of maintenance job interdependencies.
• Ability to develop executable schedules from priorities and constraints.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to lead meetings.
• Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work independently.
• Field verification of work status and progress; capable of multi-priority management.
• Experience with CMMS and industrial maintenance environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules within assigned operating units.
• Lead weekly scheduling meetings with Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Solicit and prioritize maintenance activities.
• Develop the schedule for the following week and review performance.
• Review work orders and planned maintenance for scheduling readiness.
• Evaluate manpower, equipment, and materials required to complete work.
• Identify resource constraints and scheduling conflicts affecting execution.
• Track progress in the field and verify actual status.
• Communicate schedule changes and constraints to stakeholders.
• Track and report scheduling metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare weekly schedule performance reports and support outages and projects.
