Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to optimize maintenance planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment. The role uses Maximo to plan maintenance activities, coordinate parts, and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely, effective work orders.

The ideal candidate has a few years of CMMS experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage shutdowns and supplier coordination in support of production schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field preferred.
• At least 3 years of work experience with CMMS (Maximo or similar).
• Strong computer skills and CMMS proficiency; ability to create and interpret maintenance plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all maintenance corrective and preventive activities.
• Use CMMS to create, plan, and assign maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate parts, materials, and vendors for equipment repair.
• Assist with procurement activities when needed.
• Schedule shutdowns in line with production plans and ensure readiness.
• Monitor compliance with work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Interpret blueprints/drawings for maintenance tasks and parts.
• Coordinate maintenance for new equipment additions.
• Provide supervision as needed and support machine history documentation.
• Coordinate external contractors to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee storeroom parts and staging for maintenance work.
• Submit recommendations to adjust MRO stocking levels.
