Job summary

Wolverine Fuels, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Planner for Canyon Fuel Company – Fossil Rock Mine to implement and track predictive and preventive maintenance across all mine areas. You will manage the 80/20 planned vs unplanned work and analyze maintenance data to forecast future needs.

Responsibilities include ensuring a safety-first mindset, planning inspections, tracking components, backlog management, and coordinating with OEM service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five years minimum of maintenance supervision or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and cost control procedures.
• Excellent communication (oral, written) skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed.
• Excellent safety record.

Responsibilities

• Ingrained safety-first mindset in all planning activities.
• Monitor areas for opportunities to implement standard best practices.
• Plan, schedule, and measure routine inspections and repairs.
• Track major components and equipment backlog; plan major maintenance work or shutdowns.
• Coordinate maintenance to achieve ~80% planned work vs. unplanned work.
• Use preventive and predictive maintenance philosophies to optimize reliability.
• Coordinate with OEM service standards and intervals to maintain equipment.
• Receive and schedule work orders for unplanned maintenance; manage urgent requests.
• Maintain an organized equipment register and lifecycle planning.
• Communicate with rebuild sites, vendors, and maintenance leadership on progress.
