Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Gypsum Division in Sweetwater, TX seeks a Maintenance Planner to support manufacturing operations. The role focuses on proactive planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance work to keep equipment reliable and downtime minimal.

You will use CMMS and MS Office tools to plan, estimate, and track work orders, collaborate with production teams and parts coordinators, and drive safety and efficiency across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience planning in manufacturing/industrial/military environments.
• Experience using CMMS to manage maintenance work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
• Ability to work on-call hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance work proactively with proper scoping, estimation, and readiness.
• Receive, plan, estimate, and coordinate maintenance work orders.
• Collaborate with Production Teams, Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisor and Parts Coordinator on routes and PM/PP tasks.
• Maintain daily and weekly maintenance schedules and publish them.
• Use CMMS to manage schedules, equipment data, BOMs and SMPs.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and maintain maintenance records.
