Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a Reliability Technician to maintain and improve the safety, reliability, and performance of production assets. You will provide technical support for ongoing maintenance, new equipment, and project inspection/commissioning in line with plant policies.

You will work with the maintenance team to develop reliability plans, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

Experience in vibration monitoring, calibration, and using precision alignment tools for vibration analysis.
Degree in engineering, maintenance, or related field.
Certificate of Level 1 or Level 2 Vibration Analysis.
Prior Gypsum manufacturing experience.
Experience with CMMS systems MOE/MP2 and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for ongoing maintenance problems, new equipment, and project inspection/commissioning.
Develop plans to improve reliability based on investigations and findings.
Collaborate with teams to enhance the reliability program and determine corrective actions (e.g., replacing equipment or updating safety procedures).
Analyze and identify potential causes of equipment failure to prevent future problems.
Perform physical tasks including lifting and moving weights and working at different heights.
