Job summary

HCLTech seeks a seasoned Business Development Lead for Mainframe Infrastructure to identify opportunities, nurture a robust sales pipeline, and guide technical discussions through the sales lifecycle. You will develop proposals and manage relationships with IBM, BMC, Broadcom, and other ecosystem partners.

The role requires 15+ years of Mainframe experience, deep knowledge of z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, and mainframe licensing, with strong pre-sales and executive engagement capabilities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Mainframe Infrastructure experience.
• Experience with IBM z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, and mainframe security.
• Hands-on Mainframe System Programming and Enterprise Mainframe Architecture.
• Knowledge of licensing, pricing, and OEM ecosystems (IBM, BMC, Broadcom).
• Experience in solutioning, technical sales, pre-sales, and customer presentations.
• Familiar with SLA-driven managed services, RFI/RFP processes, and IT services engagements.
• Ability to engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, and C-level executives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop Mainframe infrastructure service opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with account teams.
• Lead technical discussions and act as trusted advisor through sales lifecycle.
• Develop compelling proposals, technical presentations, SOWs, and offerings.
• Manage strategic relationships with IBM, BMC, Broadcom, and ecosystem partners.
• Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and expansion.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and solution development for large-scale transformations.
• Provide thought leadership on Mainframe modernization and enterprise architecture.
