Job summary

State Street is seeking a skilled M365 Exchange & Security Engineer to join its Collaboration Services team in Boston. You will engineer, implement, and support Exchange Online, hybrid, and on‑premises mail infrastructure, while strengthening security with Defender for Office 365 and related tools.

The role emphasizes automation with PowerShell and Graph, RBAC-based access controls, and cross‑functional collaboration with architects, operations, and vendors to ensure resilience and compliant

Qualifications

• Experience with Exchange Online, Defender for Office 365 and Purview.
• Experience designing and supporting integrations between Exchange, Purview, Defender, and third‑party security tools.
• Strong PowerShell skills for automation and administration; familiarity with Graph, APIs, or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure and support Exchange Online, hybrid and on‑premises Exchange services, including mail flow, transport rules and TLS.
• Engineer and support Defender for Office 365 and third‑party email security services.
• Design and implement roadmap changes, migrations, and decommissioning of legacy platforms.
• Provide advanced engineering support during incidents and collaborate with vendors.
• Develop PowerShell and Graph automation for repeatable tasks and reporting.
• Define least‑privilege RBAC designs and maintain secure access controls.
