Job summary

Okta seeks a strategic, hands-on Director, M&A People Strategy & Integration to lead human capital lifecycle for deal pipelines. You will design and execute due diligence and post-merger integration strategies focused on talent, organizational design, compensation, and cultural alignment.

You will serve as the HR quarterback during transactions, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Operations while collaborating with Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless continuity,

Qualifications

7–10+ years in M&A HR and Talent strategy, People Integration, or M&A HC consulting with end-to-end deal lifecycle.
Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance/Payroll, IT, and HR leads without direct line management.
Technical HR acumen: employment law, compensation/benefits harmonization, equity, and HRIS migrations.
Data-driven analysis: salary/benefit mapping and workforce financial synthesis.
Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business; Master’s or SPHR/SHRM‑SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

Diligence Execution: Lead HR and talent due diligence across target organizations, analyzing structures, total rewards, demographics, contracts, and labor risks.
Talent & Cultural Assessment: Evaluate retention risks, leadership, design, skill gaps, and cultural alignment for valuation and integration.
Cost & Synergy Modeling: Partner with Finance to analyze workforce costs, harmonization, retention packages, and synergy targets.
