Job summary

Ascend Technologies is building a repeatable acquisition engine. The Corporate Development Manager will own the front half: identifying, evaluating, and closing the right acquisitions and handing a clean deal to the integration team.

This role combines a finance background (modeling, valuation, diligence) with outbound business development and relationship building with owners, founders, and advisors. They report to the Chief Integration and Transformation Officer and partner with the CEO and

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of corporate development, investment banking, private equity/growth equity, or FP&A experience.
• Demonstrated financial modeling and valuation skills - comparables, DCF, and deal economics.
• Experience sourcing or evaluating deals directly, not only executing deals originated by others - outbound BD.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage a proprietary pipeline of acquisition targets.
• Lead early-stage BD with owners, founders, and advisers.
• Run financial analysis, modeling, and due diligence to close deals.
• Coordinate handoff to integration team post-close.
