Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions team. The Specialist will apply advanced knowledge of business, financial, and valuation principles to help grow and optimize Sunoco’s business.

This high-visibility role involves leading acquisition evaluations, complex due diligence, and crafting investor communications while collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across finance and commercial functions.

Qualifications

• Proven financial modeling and valuation capabilities
• Ability to translate technical/financial information into effective strategic messaging
• Capital markets acumen with understanding of equity and debt markets
• Ability to apply equity market knowledge to construct investor communications that are clear and compelling
• Critical thinking with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Executive presence with clear communication in uncertain situations
• Ability to evaluate complex, nuanced, and ambiguous situations
• Proficiency with standard business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate acquisition and growth opportunities
• Lead due diligence with information from data rooms, financial statements, contracts, internal resources, etc.
• Assess targets using sum-of-the-parts, comps, precedent transactions, and DCF analyses
• Prepare transaction documents: due diligence logs, bid materials, board presentations, memos
• Prepare investor communications related to mergers and acquisitions
• Assist with other corporate finance and capital markets functions
