Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking an Associate on the Corporate Development team to contribute to high-impact acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments. You will build financial models, develop recommendations for senior leaders, and coordinate due diligence with Legal, Technology, Operations, and Finance across Schwab.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience at a top-tier investment banking or corporate development organization, focus on mergers and acquisitions.
• Prior experience supporting mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• Strong analytical and research skills, creative problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to tailor materials to different audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial analyses, valuation materials, and transaction models to support acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
• Develop concise, compelling presentations communicating strategic and financial rationale to senior management and the Board.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate and manage due diligence activities.
• Coordinate communications among project teams, senior Schwab leaders, external advisors, and transaction counterparties.
• Work with Legal, Technology, Operations, IP, HR, and Finance to analyze and execute transactions.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities that support business goals.
• Conduct strategic industry analyses and landscape studies, and develop company profiles.
• Contribute to the teams evolution by improving tools, analyses, and transaction processes.
