Bolster Hardware is seeking a Lumber & Building Materials Sales & Estimating Manager/Director to oversee sales operations, drive revenue, manage contractor relationships, and set pricing strategies. The role requires leadership of inside and outside sales teams and coordination with yard operations.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of lumber, millwork, framing, and construction products, with proven contract negotiation and financial analysis skills to improve margins and inventory

Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years of experience in lumber and building materials or construction supply.
• Experience building pricing strategies to balance competitiveness with gross margin.
• Proven skills in contract negotiation, financial analysis and inventory management.
• Strong B2B closing skills to drive sales and maintain margins.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performance team of Lumber & Building Materials sales professionals.
• Recruit externally and build an internal bench.
• Coach inside & outside sales reps to meet objectives.
• Lead sales teams and yard operations to drive sales, customer satisfaction, and safety.
• Build long-term relationships with builders, contractors and large customers.
• Oversee material takeoffs, blueprint reading and accurate quotes (use software when possible).
• Review material estimates, analyze pricing, and approve bids.
• Coordinate with inventory and yard for timely deliveries.
• Analyze financial results, margins, pricing strategies and budgets.
• Manage vendor relationships and large purchasing contracts.
