Bolster Hardware seeks a Lumber & Building Materials Sales & Estimating Manager/Director to lead sales operations, set pricing strategies, and drive revenue growth. This role oversees contractor relations, bids, and takeoffs while guiding inside and outside teams toward strong margins.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–8 years in lumber/building materials, proven B2B closing skills, and a track record in financial analysis and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in lumber/building materials or construction supply.
• Experience building pricing strategies to balance competitive pricing with gross margin and inventory management.
• Proven skills in contract negotiation, financial analysis and inventory management.
• Strong B2B closing skills to drive sales and maintain profitable margins.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performance team of Lumber & Building Materials sales professionals
• Recruit externally and build an internal bench
• Coach inside & outside sales representatives to meet objectives
• Lead sales teams and yard operations to drive sales, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance
• Build long-term relationships with builders, contractors and large-scale customers
• Oversee material takeoffs, blueprint reading and accurate price quotes (leverage software when possible)
• Review material estimates, analyze pricing, and approve customer bids
• Coordinate with inventory and yard management for timely deliveries
• Financial oversight - analysis of financial results, profit margins, pricing strategies and budgets
• Manage vendor relationships - inventory flow, supplier relationships and large-scale purchasing contracts
