Sonoco Products Company in Charlotte, NC seeks a Logistics Operations Manager to lead daily transportation activities and develop strategies that give the business a competitive edge.

You will manage planning, tracking, carrier partnerships, and KPI dashboards while guiding cross-functional teams and driving cost improvements, process efficiency, and data-driven decisions. This role requires travel ~30% and a proven track record in logistics optimization.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in an OTM environment.

Mansioni

• Execute transportation strategy and carrier management aligned with business needs to deliver best in class service.
• Manage day-to-day transportation operations including planning, tracking, executing, and lane performance root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost savings initiatives focused on operational efficiencies.
• Work with data analysts to build KPIs, dashboards, and provide visibility to cost drivers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve operational performance and communicate with mid- to senior-level managers.
• Provide work direction and guide daily activities of department staff.
• Be the subject matter expert for the Logistics team to the business.
• Develop and foster strategic relationships with suppliers and carriers rooted in open communication and data sharing.
• Improve internal processes and OTM processes to create an efficient work environment.
