Job summary

Transportation Insight is seeking a transportation specialist in the Town of Manlius, NY to provide strategic and cost-effective supply chain solutions for clients. You will manage daily shipments, optimize modes and carriers, handle inbound/outbound requests, and ensure billing accuracy while tracking shipments end-to-end.

The role requires basic math, strong organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience with inbound/outbound transportation requests.
• Ability to calculate shipping dimensions and modes.
• Billing accuracy and cost savings documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage client shipments daily to achieve cost savings via mode and carrier optimization.
• Handle numerous daily transportation requests via phone and email.
• Ensure proper carriers to improve compliance and savings.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery.
• Calculate shipping dimensions for proper modes.
• Document savings opportunities and ensure billing accuracy.
• Assist expedited shipping following guidelines.
