Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation seeks a Dispatcher (Finance) to optimize delivery routes and manage driver dispatch for cost-effective, on-time service. You will coordinate with drivers, customers and yard staff to monitor movements and resolve issues impacting deliveries.

• Experience coordinating with drivers, suppliers and customers to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Optimize delivery routes for drivers prior to each shift.
• Dispatch drivers/inbound/outbound carriers to ensure on-time, low-cost service.
• Track truck movements to monitor on-time pickup and delivery.
• Coordinate with customer service, drivers, yard staff and supervisor on issues.
• Resolve service delivery issues, driver paperwork, DOT permits, and other concerns.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate company drivers and contracted carriers to reduce freight costs.
• Develop sourcing strategies for high-volume freight lanes.
• Support and participate in the company safety program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
