Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Planning Analyst in Des Plaines, IL for a hybrid role that combines on-site work (4 days/week) with flexible scheduling. You will optimize load plans, communicate with shippers, and monitor warehouse capacity to improve service and reduce costs.

The role requires 3+ years in Transportation, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Google apps. A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field is preferred, plus on-call availability may apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Transportation or logistics
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications
• Strong analytical and teamwork abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to interpret varied instructions
• Results-oriented with planning and time-management skills
• On-call and Saturday rotation may be required

Responsibilities

• Create load plans using routing information for designated shipping locations
• Communicate with shippers regarding production issues
• Check warehouse capacity before tendering loads
• Plan customer returns for timely processing
• Conduct daily update calls with stakeholders
• Create daily leadership reports and share summaries
• Identify, measure and manage KPIs
• Perform other duties as assigned
