Job summary

DP World in Los Lunas, New Mexico seeks a strategic Operations Manager to lead site performance, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will oversee daily operations, manage KPIs, lead supervisors, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver results that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write documents using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and customer.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer.
• Interface with customer to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions and staffing needs.
• Enact contingency plans as needed; upscale and direct activities during system problems, disasters, etc.; identify potential problems and escalate as needed.
• Review ongoing performance results to targets and take corrective measures with authorization.
• Provide effective leadership to Warehouse Managers and/or team, enforce standards, and serve as a role model.
