DS Smith is seeking a Logistics Lead to drive the UK logistics strategy across its operations. The role focuses on standardising processes, ensuring safety, and delivering value through continuous improvement with site teams and external partners.

You will manage transport planning, supplier performance and SLAs, travel to DS Smith sites, and influence stakeholders to adopt best practices across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and inventory management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across sites.
• Strong relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing supplier performance and KPIs.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with continuous improvement mindset.
• Willingness to travel regularly to DS Smith sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the UK Logistics Strategy across DS Smith's UK operations.
• Drive standardisation of logistics processes and procedures.
• Implement consistent transport planning and operational best practices.
• Develop and maintain Transport and Warehousing SLAs.
• Collaborate with site teams to embed new ways of working and support change initiatives.
• Promote safety culture with sites and providers.
• Ensure safety processes are applied across UK sites.
• Manage relationships with external logistics partners and monitor KPIs (OTIF, load optimisation, service levels).
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities in transport and warehousing.
