Job summary

Sysco Tampa Bay dispatches delivery drivers daily and provides driver and customer support to ensure timely product delivery. The dispatcher arranges schedules for workers, equipment, and service vehicles, maintaining communication with all parties to facilitate the best possible delivery outcomes.

This role requires adherence to Sysco’s Business Conduct standards, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including SOX.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or ability to read, write, and perform mathematics at this level is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches delivery drivers each morning, ensuring drivers have correct invoices and depart on time.
• Completes Absentee and Tardy Forms.
• Inputs data into E-Time and ABC pay systems.
• Provides driver and customer support via phone with the transportation department.
• Maintains Tripmaster records, DOT logs, and driver manifests.
• Directs activities of drivers using two-way radio and investigates overdue vehicles.
• Coordinates route adjustments or accommodations for deliveries as needed.
