Job summary

Sysco is seeking a delivery driver to run daily routes, load and unload products, and interact with customers at each stop. The role involves cross-dock tasks, following loading orders, and maintaining safety and accuracy on deliveries.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, obtaining signatures, and performing required DOT inspections, with occasional lifting and lifting limits; must be able to operate under various weather conditions and traffic scenarios.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent.
• One year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and read documents.

Responsibilities

• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or with a hand cart, into customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and Sysco policy.
• Handle loading/unloading tasks and assist as needed to load pallets and trucks.
