Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support delivery planning, order verification, and driver coordination. You will ensure accurate BOLs, monitor shipments, and assist in maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and availability for on-call hours. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Better than average written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to critically analyze, problem solve and offer solutions.
• Available to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.
• GED/HS Diploma
• 2+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of unit prices, shipping details, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed after the original order.
• Check delivery tickets for changes or mistakes.
• Submit completed BOLs to the CSR; create millrun BOLs.
• Perform order double checks.
• Adhere to company safety and environmental policies.
• Serve as backup in unloading inbound freight when a Driver is unavailable.
• Check inventory and notify Facility Manager of stock-depleting orders.
• Coordinate with sales, shipping, warehouse, or carriers to expedite shipments.
• Coordinate deliveries to maximize truck capacity and efficiency.
• Dispatch drivers with complete instructions.
• Evaluate drivers’ performance.
• Monitor DOT hours for drivers.
• Perform weekly truck inspections with drivers.
• Maintain ELD system and daily reports.
• Assist Facility Manager with day-to-day facility matters.
• Manage the Intelex reporting system.
• Foster open communication within the department and across levels.
• Communicate with peers across the company.
• Related duties as assigned.
