Qualifications

• Proven experience in transportation brokerage or related field.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.
• Proficiency in TMS, load boards, and MS Office.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Weekend on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure freight capacity by building relationships with carriers.
• Match client and shipment needs with available carrier options.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers to maximize profitability.
• Develop and maintain a network of dependable carriers.
• Onboard new carriers and ensure compliance standards.
• Monitor carrier performance and address service issues.
• Respond to delays or disruptions and keep records up to date.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights to optimize operations.
