Job summary

Hub Group is seeking an Account Management Specialist to serve as the primary liaison between the company and customers, ensuring customer expectations are met and issues are resolved with internal Hub Group departments.

Responsibilities include proactive relationship management, billing of accessorial charges, order monitoring via multiple channels, and offering alternative transportation solutions to minimize costs while maximizing margins and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management preferred.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop proactive relationships with assigned customer accounts and resolve issues.
• Determine billable accessorial charges and support collections and solutions withAccount Managers.
• Monitor and report on order acceptance, maintenance and accessorial management via email/phone/TMS.
• Offer alternative transportation solutions by analyzing account metrics.
• Maximize profitability and OTP by coordinating with Operations and asset management.
• Communicate with shipper and consignee on exceptions and resolutions.
