Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to drive opportunities in pharma, biotech, and medtech across the U.S. You will engage senior stakeholders, craft strategic account plans, and build a qualified pipeline while positioning the company as a trusted partner in medical communications.

Travel within California and across the U.S. will be required; strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical communications with proven B2B business development experience.
• Experience engaging with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Medical Excellence, or Medical Communications teams.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare sectors.
• Conduct targeted outreach to medical information and medical affairs stakeholders with value-led messaging.
• Research target organizations and develop strategic account engagement plans.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and move opportunities through the funnel.
• Position the organization as a strategic partner in the medical information/value chain.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and arrange exploratory meetings.
• Understand clients' medical and scientific communication needs and identify opportunities.
• Create and execute engagement strategies to drive growth and long-term partnerships.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and meetings; travel as needed.
• Collaborate with internal scientific, medical, and operations teams to align client needs.
