Job summary

MERGE is a marketing and technology agency at the intersection of health and wellness, seeking an Account Director to oversee all account management and nurture client relationships in the Pharma/Life Sciences space. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, directing campaigns and ensuring timely, on-budget outcomes.

You will lead a team, collaborate across departments, and drive initiatives that align client needs with MERGE’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8-10 years of account management experience at an advertising agency or similar.
• Life Sciences/Pharma experience and understanding of the MLR process, ideally with DTC experience.
• Strong background in strategic ideation, tactical activation, and financial management.
• Superior professional communication and presentation skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Managerial experience of at least 1 direct report.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all account management processes.
• Monitor, direct, and motivate day-to-day interactions between the account team and clients.
• Nurture strong relationships with existing and possible clients.
• Deliver engaging, passionate outstanding ideas and work.
• Work with the account team to drive projects through the agency and meet deadlines.
• Act as a senior solution‑oriented manager between client and agency teams.
• Maintain high-level oversight of account management in a client‑driven environment.
