Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program is required.
• Four+ years of experience in academic libraries and learning services operations; CCAC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of library systems and technology; higher education budget procedures; collection development strategies; accreditation reporting and assessment.
• Experience in a union environment and in multi-site operation preferred.
• Ability to advocate for library initiatives and communicate needs to a broad academic community.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in developing library services that promote student success in a diverse community.
• Advocate for library development and promotion with college administration, staff, and external partners.
• Oversee long-range and strategic planning for library services across locations, including online; supervise library staff at campuses.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies to support library objectives in collaboration with college administration and staff.
• Manage library annual plans and budgets, including electronic resources; lead librarians and staff to meet goals.
• Champion access to open educational resources and oversee archives and records retention.
