You will work with external firms and internal teams to drive cost efficiency. The position involves analyzing eligibility of entries by claim complexity and ensuring appropriate professional level is used.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing invoices and ensuring billing compliance with guidelines.
• Ability to identify cost savings and optimize processes in legal billing.
• Strong coordination with external law firms and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Audit invoices from law firms across >$10M annual spend for accuracy and compliance.
• Validate rates and negotiated terms for attorneys and staff.
• Assess reasonableness of entries based on complexity and scope; pursue adjustments when needed.
• Ensure work is performed by appropriate professional level to optimize cost.
• Manage billing appeals and obtain necessary approvals from leadership.
• Collaborate with law firms to obtain documentation for audits.
• Review billing guidelines annually for efficiency and cost control.
• Support e-billing/audit platform implementations to streamline reviews.
