The Michaels Companies Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Sr. Analyst to lead Leave, Life & Disability, and Absence Programs as the NA SME.

You will govern administration, vendor oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement of time-away-from-work programs across the US and Canada, reporting to the Manager of Benefits & Wellness. This hands-on role requires independent judgment, strong vendor management, and regulatory expertise to own program compliance and drive operational excellence across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated, progressive experience managing corporate leave administration, disability programs, voluntary benefit plans, and vendor management.
• In-depth knowledge of US multi-state/local regulations and Canadian provincial leave legislation.
• Experience with Workday Leave of Absence tracking, vendor integrations, and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Leave of Absence programs, disability, and voluntary benefits across US/Canada.
• Manage third‑party administrators (TPAs) and ensure SLAs/KPIs are met.
• Lead compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave laws, including regulatory submissions.
