The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Leave, Life & Disability to serve as North American SME.

You will govern absence programs across the US and Canada, including vendor management, compliance, and data-driven improvements. Reporting to the Manager of Benefits & Wellness, you will own program governance and drive operational excellence. In this high-impact role, you will oversee TPAs, monitor regulatory changes, optimize leave and disability offerings, and ensure accurate

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate leave administration and vendor management.
• Knowledge of US multi-state and Canadian leave laws.
• Experience with Workday Leave of Absence tracking and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; professional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Govern absence programs and vendor performance across US and Canada.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Legal to resolve leave issues and billing.
• Lead regulatory monitoring for FMLA, ADA, and local laws.
• Design, implement, and optimize leave and disability programs.
• Audit Workday data, payroll feeds, and carrier records for compliance.
• Support benefits team with enrollment and inquiries.
