Job summary

Employ Milwaukee seeks a Director of Workforce Policy and Strategy to lead policy development for WIOA programs, compliance, and workforce system strategy. You will guide performance management, provider contracts, and employer engagement to align with strategic goals.

You will supervise the WIOA Program Manager and Compliance Manager, collaborating across departments to strengthen service delivery and policy implementation at local, state, and national levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in workforce development, policy or related fields.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local laws, regs, funding and contracts.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to represent the organization in policy discussions and public forums.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for workforce policy and WIOA programs.
• Monitor policy developments and advise executive leadership and boards.
• Develop policy positions, briefing materials, and recommendations.
• Lead compliance and performance management across WIOA programs.
