The role combines deep actuarial expertise with enterprise risk management, requiring the ability to translate complex capital models into actionable guidance for senior management and the Board.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in a quantitative discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• FCAS/ACAS or equivalent actuarial credential strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the Enterprise Economic Capital Model across underwriting, reserve, market, credit, catastrophe, and operational risk.
• Direct production of economic capital results and decision-support analytics for ORSA, rating agency engagements, and Board discussions.
• Lead matrixed partnerships across US Retail Markets, Global Risk Solutions, and Liberty Mutual Investments with BU-aligned engagement.
• Provide decision-support for capital deployment, risk financing, and M&A with cross-functional teams.
• Advise executives on capital positioning and scenario outcomes with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Establish a common capital language and governance across the organization; drive compliance with model risk management.
• Collaborate to advance modeling infrastructure, data quality, and automation.
