Job summary

MassMutual is seeking an enthusiastic leader to serve as Head of Liability ALM Strategy. This role reports to the Chief Actuary and will drive the ALM framework for liability risks across MassMutual’s insurance products.

The position requires deep actuarial and financial modeling expertise, cross-functional collaboration with Investment Management and ERM, and the ability to present progress to senior management and committees. A strong leadership track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; FSA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years actuarial experience in ALM, hedging, capital management, pricing, valuation/CFT, or related risk areas.
• Strong knowledge of US life insurance, annuities, and health products; expert in actuarial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead ALM strategy and execution across MassMutual’s insurance products.
• Model liabilities and manage data/infrastructure for ALM projections.
• Present results, issues, and solutions to senior management and IOC.
• Attract, develop, and retain talent within the actuarial team.
• Collaborate with Investment Management and ERM to align assets with liabilities.
