Job summary

Liberty Mutual Investments seeks an experienced risk professional to lead operational risk and controls across its seven operating teams. The role focuses on RCSA design, control testing, and governance-ready KPI reporting to senior leadership.

Collaborating with Strategy, Transformation, and product partners, you will drive remediation, automation, and data-driven improvements across investment operations and treasury functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years in investment operations, financial operations, or operational risk and controls.
• Experience in operational risk assessment and control design.
• Strong understanding of investment operations lifecycle across asset classes.
• Experience defining metrics and governance-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and run a first-line risk and control self-assessment across seven operating teams.
• Maintain a living map of operational risks and residual risk after controls.
• Test whether controls operate as designed and identify gaps.
• Own operational KPI framework and governance-ready reporting.
• Coordinate with Transformation to translate gaps into remediation backlog.
• Partner with Investment, accounting, technology, data, and treasury teams.
