Job summary

Genentech, a leading biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Senior Director of PAA Business Operations to drive strategic execution and operational excellence across a 40-person department. You will partner closely with executive leadership to align strategy, budget, and organizational development.

You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee HEOR support and contracting, and guide enterprise-wide change initiatives while shaping communications and culture within Genentech.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in operations, management consulting, or strategy and operations.
• 8+ years in direct people management with a track record of building and coaching teams.
• Expert knowledge of healthcare compliance within PAA domains (e.g., Patient Access, Governmental Affairs/Advocacy, Charitable Giving, Corporate Communications).

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategy, business planning, budget allocation, and operational execution for multi-team functions.
• Serve as Operations Lead to the SVP of Public Affairs and Access, collaborating with VPs and the Head of Strategy, Impact & Operations.
• Manage both people managers and individual contributors, fostering an inclusive environment and high performance.
• Oversee department-level process management, business continuity, and HEOR contracting support.
• Lead cross-functional change management initiatives and develop frameworks for decision-making and efficiency.
• Execute multi-channel communications and engagement strategies to foster belonging and cross-functional alignment.
