Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking an experienced professional to join its private equity and alternative asset practice in New York. You will support client leads, review complex financial components, and ensure deliverables align with limited partnership agreements and client expectations.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with auditors and tax teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timely service; a hybrid work schedule is supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of both
• Experience with Private Credit clients is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Proven success in leading and developing high-performing teams
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran

Responsibilities

• Support IQ-EQ client leads across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring deliverables align with limited partnership agreements and client expectations
• Manage and review complex financial components, including journal entries, investor allocations, capital calls/distributions, fee and carried interest calculations, and waterfall models
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and investor notices, coordinating with auditors and tax teams during year-end processes
• Assess and enhance operational processes, handle routine and ad-hoc client requests, and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
• Train and mentor junior team members, fostering development while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness
