Colorado School of Mines seeks an Associate Director to lead the Post Award team within the Office of Research Administration, overseeing accounting, billing, compliance, and reporting for sponsored projects.

You will manage HR functions, develop policies, and ensure accurate financial data and dashboard reporting, while collaborating with faculty and campus partners to advance research enterprise efficiency.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• 10 years progressive experience in accounting/financial management with GAAP knowledge.
• Five or more years of experience supervising professional staff.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in sponsored project financial administration.
• Working knowledge of OMB Circulars and other pertinent external regulations.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Problem solving and analyzation skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems.

Mansioni

• Lead Post-Award staff including Research Accountants, Grant Administrators, Billing Specialists and the Financial Compliance Analyst.
• Hire, train, onboard and evaluate staff; set performance expectations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for PPS functions.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and sponsor terms.
• Oversee reconciliation of sponsored accounts revenue and expenses.
• Coordinate audits and respond to audit requests.
• Prepare ad hoc and standard financial reports for leadership.
