Job summary

The American Clean Power Association (ACP) is seeking a Senior Director, Event Operations to own the portfolio-wide operations for its expanding conference lineup. You will translate strategic objectives into repeatable processes, ensuring scalable, high-quality events across the portfolio.

Reporting to the VP, Conferences & Events, you will lead three direct reports and collaborate with operations, sales, and education teams to formalize planning, timelines, dependencies, and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading conference, tradeshow, or event operations in a trade association or similar environment.
• Experience translating event strategy into scalable execution across portfolios.
• Proven ability to establish operational standards, processes, and governance across multiple events.

Responsibilities

• Translate portfolio strategy into operational standards, SOPs, and governance across events.
• Partner with Business Development and Marketing to design revenue-generating event experiences.
• Monitor performance, identify gaps, and drive improvements for efficiency and accountability.
• Develop staffing models and resource plans for portfolio-wide event deployment.
• Provide onsite leadership and coordination for select events and pilot programs.
• Lead venue contracts, travel logistics, and vendor relationships across the portfolio.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for ACP’s events.
