Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Pharmacy Operations to provide strategic leadership for back-end mail-order pharmacy operations and align site objectives with enterprise initiatives.

This role drives operational excellence, financial performance, compliance, and talent development while partnering with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure quality, safety, and efficient workflows. A strong leader will foster development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of experience in pharmacy operations or related healthcare/ops.
• 2+ years of leadership, program, or project management with cross-functional influence.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven with strong problem-solving and risk assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all site operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient workflows while meeting service, quality, productivity, and customer commitments.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that drive excellence and optimal resource utilization.
• Maintain accountability for site financial performance, including budget development and forecasting.
• Lead pharmacy quality, compliance, and patient safety programs aligning with regulations and standards.
• Oversee medication safety initiatives and safe dispensing practices.
• Direct pharmacy inventory management, procurement, storage, and waste minimization.
• Conduct audits, risk evaluations, and corrective actions to improve operations.
• Lead strategic initiatives, automation projects, and enterprise programs.
