Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an Associate Vice President for Oncology to lead the service line’s administrative and operational functions across all sites. The role partners with physicians and nurse leaders to drive growth, quality, safety, patient experience, and cost performance.

The position oversees staffing, budgeting, accreditation readiness, and external partnerships, while advancing clinical trial access and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare strategy, operations, or service line management.
• Experience in oncology services or complex clinical service lines preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, market analysis, and business development.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Medical Director and nurse leadership to develop and implement service line strategy and priorities.
• Maintain service line performance scorecard and develop analyses with Strategy & Planning and Finance.
• Represent the service line in budget development and capital planning; develop budget inputs.
• Identify market growth opportunities and develop market research and business plans with Strategy, Marketing, and Finance.
• Participate in community outreach and cancer screening initiatives.
• Manage service line operations across sites; coordinate staffing, space, and access processes.
• Negotiate contracts and engage external consultants as needed.
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness and accreditation in partnership with oncology leaders.
• Support tumor boards, conferences, and clinical trials access.
