Job summary

Boston College is seeking an Associate Director of Intercultural Programming to lead intercultural education and LGBTQ+ initiatives within the Thea Bowman AHANA Intercultural Center. You will guide large-scale events such as Spectrum Retreat and Lavender Graduation, and develop programs that foster dialogue and community across differences in line with the Jesuit mission.

The role oversees staff, advises student organizations, and partners with campus life to deliver outcome‑driven programming

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated progressive student affairs experience.
  • Experience with students from diverse backgrounds and intercultural affairs.
  • Experience working with LGBTQ+ students on a college campus.
  • Ability to develop educational strategies and resources for learning and dialogue.
  • Ability to manage program risk and promote student engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement intercultural education and programming at scale.
  • Lead signature events and mentorship/dialogue groups for LGBTQ+ students.
  • Supervise an Assistant Director and a Graduate Assistant.
  • Advise undergraduate intercultural student organizations and coordinate mentoring.
  • Align programs with university diversity and Jesuit mission goals.
