Job summary

Suffolk University in Boston seeks an Associate Director of Student Leadership and Service to provide leadership, coordination, and advising for programs that develop student leaders and promote service, civic engagement, and community impact.

The role connects the Center for Community Engagement with Student Leadership and Involvement to create meaningful leadership pathways through involvement and governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in student personnel, counseling, or higher education administration.
• 3–5 years’ experience in higher education or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership and management of diverse teams.
• Experience advising student organizations, governance, or leadership programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day administration of the Journey Leadership Program and assess outcomes.
• Advise Campus Activities Program Board and support student government activities.
• Supervise and train student leaders and staff; develop trainings on leadership and inclusion.
• Collaborate with campus partners to plan service and civic engagement initiatives.
• Develop assessment tools to measure learning and program impact.
• Work evenings and weekends as necessary.
