Job summary

Piper Sandler & Co. in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Systems to lead the CFOs team in external reporting and financial systems administration. You will oversee the SEC filings, MD&A, and coordination with auditors while guiding the monthly close and system interfaces.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/financial reporting, a CPA, and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience in Workiva, Power Platform, Workday, or Oracle preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and a CPA license.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial statement reporting and filing requirements.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEC reporting process, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and other filings, with oversight of MD&A and non-GAAP metrics.
• Manage broker-dealer financial statements and risk assessment reports and employee benefit plan financial statements.
• Partner with Investor Relations and FP&A on earnings release and earnings script.
• Oversee monthly close and consolidation, journal entries, and reconciliations, with variance analysis.
