Job summary

CenterPoint Energy, Inc. is seeking a strategic, high‑octane procurement leader to serve as the Manager of Enterprise Materials Procurement.

You will own category management, sourcing directions, and supplier relationships across our Electric and Gas Operations, including materials like Meters & Regulators, Gas/Electric Distribution materials, Gas Pipe Support, MRO, and Safety Supplies. You will drive end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, lead contract lifecycles, and build data-backed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (supply chain or business).
6+ years of procurement and supply chain experience.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Advanced procurement analytics and process management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead category management and sourcing directions across Electric and Gas Operations.
Negotiate master and blanket contracts and manage lifecycles to mitigate risk.
Develop and implement data-driven evaluation tools (scorecards, should-cost models, TCO).
Collaborate with internal experts and executives to build resilient supply strategies.
Champion governance, supplier portals, and standard work instructions.
