Job summary

San Francisco Public Library is seeking a dynamic Chief of Community Programs and Partnerships to lead all aspects of youth engagement, literacy initiatives, and public programming across 28 neighborhood libraries and partners. This executive role reports to the City Librarian and collaborates with division chiefs to deliver innovative learning experiences.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in library science, public administration, or a related field.
Four (4) years of managerial experience in community engagement, programming, establishing partnerships, and leading a team.

Responsibilities

Oversee systemwide programming, exhibitions, and outreach for youth, families, adults, and seniors.
Lead the CPP division and coordinate with other library divisions and city departments to strengthen neighborhood services.
Formulate and assist in the development of division budgets; direct policy development and public programs.
Represent the library in partnerships with government, education, corporate, and non‑profit entities to advance civic initiatives.
