Job summary

South San Francisco Public Library seeks a collaborative and service-oriented Library Program Manager II to lead the Adult Services team at the New Main Library, building engaging programs and collections for the community.

The ideal candidate will oversee complex operations, foster equity, develop diverse teams, manage programs and budgets, plan grant initiatives, and market responsive library services that meet evolving community needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in library science, public administration, or related field.
• MLS required from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience managing library programs and budgets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adult Services team at the New Main Library.
• Oversee complex library operations while promoting equity and excellent customer service.
• Plan, implement and market innovative library services and grant programs.
• Develop and mentor a diverse staff and manage budgets to support community needs.
