Job summary

South San Francisco Public Library is seeking a collaborative and service-oriented Library Program Manager II to lead the Adult Services team at the New Main Library. The role prioritizes engaging, diverse programs, services and collections that meet community needs while fostering equity and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively more responsible professional library experience, with two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in library science, public administration, or related field; a Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) from an American Library Association accredited college or university is required.
• License: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adult Services team at the New Main Library and oversee library operations.
• Develop, implement and market innovative and diverse programs, services and collections.
• Manage programs and budgets, and coordinate grant initiatives.
• Foster equity, collaboration and excellent customer service across the library.
• Plan and evaluate services to meet evolving community needs.
