Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Distinguished Technologist to shape the strategy and lifecycle of its enterprise switching portfolio, driving AI-native, cloud-managed operations for wired networks.

This leader will own portfolio growth, market leadership, and platform innovation across campus, branch, and data center switching, working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; 12+ years of product management or product line management experience, with 5+ years leading product managers or cross-functional product teams.
• Experience managing hardware-based product portfolios in enterprise switching, campus/branch/data center networking, or cloud-managed networking.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 switching, EVPN VXLAN for large campus architectures, and AI-driven network operations; proven launch and lifecycle success.
• Outstanding communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise switching portfolio, including cloud-managed and AI-driven operations for wired networks.
• Drive portfolio planning and investment decisions based on market trends, customer needs, competitive analysis, and business objectives; lead lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life.
• Engage directly with customers, partners, and analysts to validate strategy; represent the wired portfolio in executive customer engagements, industry events, and strategic planning.
• Partner with engineering on product requirements, business cases, and development priorities; ensure roadmap execution balances innovation, customer commitments, technical feasibility, and financial outcomes.
• Own business cases, pricing, revenue forecasts, and investment plans; monitor portfolio performance, market share, profitability, and adoption metrics.
