Job summary

RWE Americas is seeking a Senior Manager, Utility Scale Development to initiate, develop, and acquire utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across the US and Canada. The role leads cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle, including due diligence, permitting, interconnection, and financing, with a focus on delivering COD.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in renewable energy infrastructure, strong PM skills, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business/economics, environmental science, or relevant fields.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience in renewable energy infrastructure.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Strong leadership and communication with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects from greenfield to start of construction.
• Serve as project lead, managing large cross-functional project teams.
• Manage full project lifecycle including site due diligence, land control, environmental and permitting, interconnection, and tax equity financing.
• Oversee cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX with Precon and Procurement teams.
• Support construction phase to ensure COD and post-construction support.
